GENIESOLOS UPGRADE

The Upgrade

A reduced monthly rate on an online store, for a business I believe in. Not a grant of money. A door.

Applications are always open. I reply to every one within 7 days.

01

What it is

The Storefront plan on my store builds you an online shop with nothing due up front, hosts it, supports it, and hands you ownership after twelve months. It costs $499 a month. The Upgrade is that exact plan at a rate I set for you, after we talk. For some businesses that means a lower rate for the whole year. For others it means paying nothing for the first months while the store starts earning, then a reduced rate after. I decide with you, based on where your business actually is.

The rate is private and per case. I do not publish numbers because two businesses at the same market can be in completely different places.

02

Who it is for

Anyone selling something real who does not have an online store yet, or has one that is not working. Market vendors, makers, bakers, designers, stylists, musicians, tutors, and small shops. You can have a physical location; plenty of great businesses do. The reduced rate covers the online store only.

  • Covered

The online Storefront plan: design, build, hosting, support, and ownership after month 12, at your reduced rate.

  • Not covered

In-store systems, point of sale, IT for a physical location, and every other GenieSolos service. Those stay at their normal price.

03

How it works

  1. Apply.

Fill in the form below. It takes about fifteen minutes and there is no wrong answer.

  2. We talk.

I email you within 7 days to set up a call. Thirty minutes, no pitch deck.

  3. I decide.

If I believe in the business and the person, I offer a rate. If I do not, I tell you why and point you at the Grants page, which often helps more.

  4. We sign.

Your reduced rate, and what you would owe if you left early, are both written in dollars into your order form. The standard 12-month Service Terms apply.

  5. I build.

Your store goes up the same way every Storefront build does. You pay the reduced rate, nothing more.

  6. You own it.

After month 12, paid in full, the site is yours.

04

What I look for

  • A reason for the work beyond the sale: a community served, a problem solved, a face that lights up.
  • A person who shows up: at markets, on their page, for their customers.
  • A picture of the store in your head, even a blurry one.
  • A rate you can actually sustain for a year, because a store that gets shut off in month four helps nobody.

If you have a vision that can change the world, show me.

About you

So I know which grants apply to you too.

Your business

Where you sell now

Pick at least one.

A range is fine. This is not a test.

Physical shop

Either answer is fine. The reduced rate covers the online store only.

The ask

0 / 1500

0 / 1500

Honest beats optimistic. A store that gets shut off in month four helps nobody. A number, a range, or the whole picture. Whatever is true.

You

How you started, in your words.

Optional.

Questions

Is this a grant?
No. No money changes hands from me to you. It is a reduced rate on my own service.
How many do you take?
As many as I can build well. I do not publish a cap; when I am full, applications stay open and I tell you where you stand.
Can I apply if I already have a website?
Yes. If the site is not selling for you, say so in the form.
What if I am not chosen?
You get an email that says why, and the Grants page, which lists money and help that has nothing to do with me.
Who sees my application?
Only me. It is emailed to my inbox and kept in private storage; see the Privacy Policy.

FROM GENE

This program exists because the people I met at markets this summer had better products than websites. Fixing that is the whole job.
